Drift (Screened from 4/1 until 4/4)

by Quentin

I’d love to share with you my second feature Drift that Filmthreat called “one of the year’s best films.” Drift has gone to over 25 film festivals domestically and internationally from San Francisco to Turin, Milan, Prague, New Zealand and even Croatia!

The movie stars R.T. Lee (aka Reggie Lee of Drag Me to Hell and Prison Break), Grayson Dayne, Desi del Valle, Sebastien Guy, T. Jerram Young and Jonathan Roessler. It was supported by a grant from the Canada Council for the Arts. Unfortunately, the DVD is currently out of print as Genius Products has gone out of business.

The story centers on a love triangle in Hollywood. At his agent’s party, Ryan, a young screenwriter, and Joel, Ryan’s boyfriend, meet Leo, an aspiring novelist and college student. During an intense conversation, Ryan feels connected to Leo as if everyone else at the party has vanished. Hanging out with Leo, Ryan soon becomes infatuated and sees him as his possible soul mate. After breaking off his three-year relationship with Joel, despite knowing they are both still very much in love, Ryan drifts into three different possibilities of a triangle, filled with twists and surprises.

Previously screened from 4/1 until 4/4 on Queerious.com.
