The past year, I’ve been traveling to LGBT film festivals with my feature The People I’ve Slept With and I kept bumping into my director friend Michael Saul and actor/producer Heath Daniels. I was finally able to catch their hilarious and delightful short “Go Go Reject” at the Hong Kong Lesbian and Gay Film Festival. “Go Go Reject” has playing gay festivals all over the world and people are loving it.
I had the chance to catch up with Heath at Michael’s annual Christmas party where I learned that they were working on a new short called “Peephole.” I’m always impressed by talented proactive people who don’t sit around and wait for opportunities to fall into their laps. Heath and Michael were very excited about “Peephole” which is a comparatively darker drama than “Go Go Reject.”
And they have just started to raise money for it through the crowd funding site IndieGoGo. You can contribute as little as $50 to get a thank you credit or as much as $200 to get a walk-on role. Check out their IndieGoGo campaign and below is the trailer they’ve made for fundraising:
I have no doubt that Michael and Heath will make a fabulous film!
